You might add "Dewalt" to the title.
Thanks for the deal!

I acknowledge this is FAR more expensive, but, if you need to move a saw frequently (such as you're a pro), you're going to be better served buying this:

Is this better than the skil 10" jobsite saw? Recently bought it from contractortool.com for $260 but haven't opened it yet.

Yes, this will be a better table saw.

I've used this saw quite a bit and it's very solid. Feels well built and cuts wood and even 1/8" aluminum like butter. Make sure to get an adjustable push block to use it safely.

Is the delta 725 or ridgid 4560 which are contractors saws worth paying $100 more?

I see your point but it's really a "per situation" type of deal. A person with limited storage space might want OPs deal as you can separate the stand and stand it on some corner or slide it between something. Whereas your option only collapses within itself. Also, someone that can't lift so much weight at once might also opt for the former. I do see your point, but not even all those that move it frequently would always pick that deal over OPs.

This is a great saw and it's a great deal. I wouldn't put much stock into the stand, but the deal is $100 less than the saw without the stand!

I had one for a couple of years before getting a SawStop CTS. Of course I got the SawStop because of the flesh sensing, but other than that it's only a marginally better saw than this one, even though it's three times the price of this deal (the bevel adjustment has a microadjuster, the rack and pinion is nicer to lock and a few other minor things are an improvement).

The rack and pinion fence on this saw is awesome. I can't imagine every going back to a non-rack-and-pinion fence on a jobsite saw.

Note that this saw has a 8-1/4" blade, not a 10". However, I personally found very few situations when the lower capacity was limiting. In fact, the smaller blade means it doesn't bog down with regular use like many 10" jobsite saws do (including the SawStop). This also means it's runs fine on a 15A circuit without ever tripping it (in my experience).

Did anything ever happen with that "Sawstop type" mandate? Was really hoping to get a nicer table saw before the mandate.

New in this area, why is that? Doesn't the sawstop give an extra layer of safety?

Don't hold me to this, but my recollection is it was put on hold because the Consumer Protection Commission's mandate would create monopoly issues and it was ruled that they don't have jurisdiction. While SawStop agreed to donate the patents to the public, they would only do it once the new ruling was passed which mean that other tool companies could not develop the required technology in the meantime.
