I have never seen a 16 pounds laptop! Is it because of the graphics card!?

Yes, but not directly. It's mostly from the cooling that the GPU needs

It's likely the shipping weight. The actual laptop is a little over 7lbs, IIRC.

i think its cuz acer wants to remind us that dont sit there and play video games all the time or you'll look like this laptop. BTW: too many mistakes in the description.

Just got the brand new 4080 version of this. Wired 3.5mm mic doesn't work for some reason. Tried windows update, companion software update, windows store updates, and a two full windows reinstalls but no luck. It's going straight back. And I'm getting the Asus G16 OLED 4080 instead. Asus has shitty customer service but their driver update software is great.

I know it's just a piece of the puzzle but I've always simply updated my drivers manually. It's not rocket science. Find your device, go to a site, find it, download it, install it. Really not difficult. I don't know why anyone uses bloatware from these manufacturers to keep their machines up to date.

IMO most laptops should be wiped clean and a new OS thrown on immediately after purchasing. That's just me though.
