Yea, we were spoiled last year. My brain wont accept anything over $50/tb a deal for m.2 drives

In retrospect that was an absolutely insane deal. I think I ended up with 5tb of sata/m.2 drives for less than $200.

The nice thing is none of the current storage prices are even tempting, we will surely see some last year pricing before the end of the year. Key word some!

Each day last year from like may to november we saw amazing drives get cheaper and cheaper, it just felt like there was no pressure to pull the trigger. Then one day, boom....everything marked up 50-80%.

I miss the days of the supply glut. The prices were nice for adding capacity to my desktop.

Why wouldn't you just clone it 🤦

Oh, I was beaten to it. You can shrink the partition if coming from a larger drive.
