Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

Successfully activated i13 as a 3rd line in my Metro account. Only outgoing calls/text and mobile data were working after activation. Incoming calls and text were still going to my GV account. Called Metro's porting department to have them fix. They fixed it during the 5 minute call. Incoming/outgoing calls and text are now working.

Hope they have another i13 offer before my next billing cycle. 😊

Do all GV number port transfers take several weeks to complete? If you call Metro port dept, then they can force the port transfer completion right away. My first iphone 12 line port transfer was from Tracfone and it was completed automatically and right away.

So far I've ported 3 GV numbers. The first 2 took over a week until I finally called Metro's porting department to complete the porting. This time, as soon as I activated, I called to complete the port cuz I know it's not gonna happen any time soon. Wanted to make sure all my lines have successfully ported before my next billing cycle which I don't plan to renew.

I don't tell them it's a GV number to port. I just tell them that my outgoing calls and text are working, but my incoming don't work. They then ask you security questions to make sure you're the Metro account owner. In today's call, the rep I spoke with said that since I'm porting a "land line", it takes longer to complete the port...but she said she can force a manual port to expedite. Couple of minutes later, incoming calls/texts started to work. No need to reboot the iPhone..although she said to go ahead and do it anyway.

She said that the actual porting process started a couple of days ago (I'm guessing when I placed my order last Thursday)...and that since it's been several days, she could force a manual port. I guess GV numbers are considered land line numbers.

Metro uses esim on iphone 12 and up.
