Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

Not really. I got the referral code and opened the new account and followed rest of the steps in the Visible app for esim activation and everything worked out. But metro was giving me hard time, initially it was showing my account is not eligible to add a line, then I refreshed and added the phone and line and price went back up to "get a number" price. Then again closed everything, reopened the browser in incognito mode and placed the order. Metro website sucks big time for sure. I still haven't received order confirmation email so still can't say everything is all set.

i was trying to order using tracfone #. at final credit card submission, threw an error that number port could not be completed at this time. Now when I try with same number, it says number not eligible to port. Anyone know what this is about?

GV number should work when porting to Metro. Make sure you pay $3 to unlock it. The aacount number is just the GV phone number. Use your own zip code.

Edit: I last used 2 GV numbers to port in to Metro to get 2 phones about 10 days ago. People may be right that GV numbers do not work anymore.

Wait 4-6 hrs after a failed order and Metro will release the number. Try again later.

Thanks. Not sure why it failed. I was using a virtual cc number. I am on phone with them and they are trying to get the number unlocked from port dept

edit: the agent was not able to get it unlocked. like you said, maybe have to just wait until it becomes eligible again but not sure why it failed first time. maybe they don't like tracfone..
