Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

So I just activated my metro pcs number and try to go back US Mobile to add new number I can't sign in so my question is after you port out the number you can not try to add new line?

If your port-out the last line on your account, that usually terminates the account. I believe this is standard practice. It's a good way to close an account without having to deal with retention reps.

You just need to activate the phone and make a few calls. You have already paid for the 1st month. Just don't pay anymore. Autopay is OFF by default. You can put away the phone for the next 11 months or use it on Wifi. The iphone will automatically unlock at the 365 day mark from the time you activated it.

Did you do porting from Google voice?
For GV numbers, the porting needs to be completed and can take anywhere from 15 days to 30+ days. Best is to call Cust service and get porting complete manually. Gets done eithin 5 mins.

I did this and was able to order 2nd line.
