Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

I am on a call with Metro CS, and while I have done all the steps required to unlock and port out GV number after paying $3, the Metro CS still tells me that the number is not yet release by Google. Any leads here would be helpful. Thanks!

Not sure. It was pretty instant for me. I'd just pay Google another $3 on a different account and see if that works.

Google voice no longer works for the port in discount.

Just to add and clarify, the Metro CS did confirm the full discount with me over the phone (OP's $99 offer), however, he couldn't get past the account setup step (before payment) as he mentioned this is still not released yet.

I went to the store and I was charged $235. Can anybody tell me what they paid for with taxes (taxes YMMV for states I guess) .

Also can anybody confirm, if their phone was in mint condition. I mean plastoic wrapped and you had to remove the plastic cover from the outer ipHone box or there was no plastic sealed and wrapped.

Thestore guy went inside his store warehouse and brought out an iPhone 13. The box was open. Not in a plastic wrap. It just had a sticker at the back like a tape, that I peeled off.

any feedback would be appreciated.

Did you do porting from Google voice?
For GV numbers, the porting needs to be completed and can take anywhere from 15 days to 30+ days. Best is to call Cust service and get porting complete manually. Gets done eithin 5 mins.

I did this and was able to order 2nd line.
Yes.
You are a good person. Will try to do that.
is there anything specific I need to tell the rep?

Just call customer service and first ask them to transfer to porting department (else you will waste time).
Then tell them you ported-in your number to Metro. It's been 20+ days and porting seems to not yet have been completed. Ask to manually complete the port.
They will manually complete the porting and you should receive porting completed email/message in few minutes.

Once this is done, you should no longer get the error while adding new line.

Porting status should not affect your ability to add a new line. My first line took nearly 4 weeks to finish porting (I finally called the porting department a few days ago to have them manually complete it) and during that time I was able to add a second line.

Good to know that! For me, I had ported in my 1st line (a GV number) and activated it 20+ days prior to this deal coming back again..
I tried adding 2nd line and was getting ineligible error. Based on comments in this thread, I completed port-in manually by calling CS. Tried again and was able to add the 2nd line immediately. Might have been coincidence!

Who knows, it may have very well been the incomplete port that was blocking you. They are changing things constantly.

I called them and my porting was completed a while back.
they said the reason it didn't work because I had entered wrong account pin.
does anyone know how to check my pin on straight talk account?

I got 1 iPhone 13 with porting in a visible number. Today, someone just got denied by porting in a visible number, so I haven't given it a try yet.

Did you generate a "number transfer pin" from straight talk?
