Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

If I port out my number from Metro during the first 30 days of service will the phone still unlock 12 months from the activation date?

If you're trying to get a phone with a visible number and get the message that it can't be transferred I tried what someone else here said and got a new visible number on the website by using their chat bot and the new number worked perfectly. Got another i13.

THANK YOU! For the past 3 days I've been trying to port over a Visible number from a new account and it kept erroring out on Metro's site. I did what you mentioned - use the chat bot to get a new phone number - and voila it worked perfectly! I was able to order a 3rd iPhone 13.

I got the visible # last night and ported to Metro today at 4:40pm central time, and it went fine, maybe wait a day or so before porting, also I saw some people comments that their visible number didn't work, but they were able to use the chatbot to change their number and it went through with the new visible number.

I had similar issue and changed the number using chat bot in visible.. try that one.. only takes 2 mins to get a new number assigned
