Reocmmend against PFAS lined non-stick pans. The rice abrades the coating over time. You are basically eating it or releasing it into environment.

All the nicer Japanese ones seem to have coated pots.

Eating teflon flakes is safe as far as I can tell, it is inert.

There's like hundreds of other things in my life that I should fix before I worry about my non-stick pot in my rice cooker.

So don't buy a rice cooker because that's all any of them have.

There we go, always one. Thankfully regulation is increasingly on my side.

Teflon is a PTFE. PTFE is a PFAS (PFOA specifically). PFAS is now regulated by the EPA with a target of 0 in drinking water. But I guess you are OK with eating it because food isn't drinking water.

Yes, there are larger issues, but it is fallacious think we can't and shouldn't address the ones conveniently and immediately in front of us. You can vote your dollar every day. No need to wait for regulation to catch up.

I've had good luck with dumb rice cookers that use a stainless steel pot. Be it instapot or a standalone $10 one.

You could get a non-nicer one if you care.

Stainless steel pot rice cookers have worked for me. Never burned the rice, are simple and can last many years.

Non-stick pots are a god send. People would rather have good tasting rice without the misery of extensively soaking and scrubbing the pot afterwards.

Or they could just not eat good tasting rice, maybe even skip rice altogether, if they're that concerned about the annoying issue in front of them.

Wash the rice separately. Use a silicon spatula for scooping out rice.

This video is really informative about the dangers of non-stick cookware. Basically, unless you scratch or get them extremely hot, they're recognized as safe. A rice cooker especially doesn't get anywhere even remotely close to the high temperature danger zone for Teflon. I wouldn't worry about rice scratching the pot but I use a stainless rice washing bowl anyway since they work much better to rinse the rice in.
Also, anyone that's ever used a decent one knows that Instant Pots can't touch the rice made by even the shittiest rice cookers. IP also doesn't offer the convenience of keeping rice as fresh as freshly cooked for 12+ hours.
