Bought one of these in the beginnings of COVID still using it now, haven't paid for a haircut since. This thing has saved me as much money as probably half the deals I've gotten on here combined.

Agreed. Bought this almost 6 years ago and it's still going strong, sans the battery is getting weak. It has paid for itself many MANY times over and I'm about to purchase a new one again!
My other post got deleted for some reason, but you can get a knockoff on Amazon from a brand called "Sceafunny" that is identical in function but nearly half the price. AND the charging cable is USB rather than a wall wort you will lose. I have owned both the remington and the sceafunny, and I prefer the latter.
Hopefully without the link this doesn't get delete this time. I can't think of any reason to buy the remington when the sceafunny is $26. Just know that the accessories aren't interchangeable between brands - they fit but don't snap in.
If you search "Sceafunny shortcut" it should come up on the first page
longer than buzz cuts? go with the flowbie vacuum suction cutter
buzz cuts? this remington looks fine, but if you really want to save the most money in the long term, get a wahl pro salon/barber grade clipper, corded. I've been using the same units regularly for 20 years and they keep on ticking

I have had one of these for 10 years and it's been great. There are some complaints that it slows down after a while but I think that's from people not properly cleaning it or lubricating it. I get the whal trimmer cleaning spray and use that while it's running and it cleans it great.

I killed one by never lubricating it, it still lasted a few years before the blade seized and broke something on the inside. The blade being detachable makes it easy to lube though.
Has anyone found a good place to buy replacement guards? The little teeth on the lower numbers broke off of mine and I need to replace them, but they're all sold individually for around $8-10, which seems ridiculous for a cheap piece of plastic. The trimmer itself has been going strong since the beginning of Covid.
I've had one for 10 years or so. Battery holds up now for at least 10 uses I recall. I don't take very good care of it and use it mostly in the shower. Lubricate with water. Helps it move along. Buzz cuts mostly but great for beard, manscaping.
The selling point is the very wide curved blades. It's quite quick because of taht.

apologies, it's a prime-only price. I didn't see $40 until I logged out. still $26 for prime members, and that was the same prime I paid a few years ago so I don't think it's a rare price for prime.
