Why is everyone so hung up on having SpO2 reading? I had it on my Samsung older phones and not on the newer phones. I've never used it. I'm a doctor and I don't think anyone needs it. I use it every minute of my job but that's because it's life and death for my patients.

I think the Ultra2 3000nits and the higher 64gb is more important. The buying decision for everyone should be if they need that $300 upgrade from Ultra 1 vs Ultra 2. Sleep apnea might be a good thing to find out and will benefit your health significantly if you get treated early(Weight loss, sleep study to qualify for CPAP, or surgery...)

What's the major difference between Ultra and Ultra 2?

Update: Ultra 2 has 64 gb storage vs 32 gb.
Ultra 2 has 3,000 nits vs 2,000 nits for Ultra. Doubled storage and brighter screen make Ultra 2 worth paying little bit extra ($550 for excellent refurbished on eBay).

Ultra 2 gives you longer battery life and great for water sports. If your priority is size and weight then Watch 10 is better. Small difference in the processor. Currently the ultras are running cheap then compared to the similar titanium models of 10.

I picked Ultra 2 from MicroCenter for $650. It was the last one at my local store with O2 sensor. Ultra 2 is not double the price.

The Ultra 2 was $200 more at Amazon last month (https://slickdeals.net/f/17751105-49mm-apple-watch-ultra-2-gps-cellular-smartwatch-titanium-case-various-689-free-shipping) and likely to hit that price point or cheaper again over the next couple months. This is going to depend heavily on your budget, but in my opinion the extra $200 is definitely worth it for a newer chipset and the various improvements (50% brighter screen, double tap recognition, sleep apnea detection, better dictation, on-device siri, 64GB vs 32GB).

Just got the ultra 2 from the $680 deal.

So far happy with it. Especially the battery life has been great. I workout about an hour most days and the watch still has 70-75% at the end of the day.

Same question I have. Everyone is so hung up on it. Can't find an Apple Watch thread without there being a dozen posts asking whether or not it has the o2 sensor.
