I've been using a Magic Eraser on the inside to get rid of the film and it works really well. Just apply light pressure on the glass with a slightly damp magic eraser.

The key to not having your windshield fog up is to remove the film build up on it that is causing the fogging (as described in posts above).

A really cheap way to do that is just clean the inside of the glass with a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol. That will strip off the layer of film, and also don't have to worry about scratching with a Magic Eraser.

My windshield used to fog up really bad, even after cleaning with Windex and stuff like that. Until someone told me about cleaning it with a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Works fantastic and is really cheap, and most people already have a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the home.

The plastic and vinyl in your car actually off gasses and forms a thin film on the inside of your windshield. This is why it can appear slightly hazy even if you never get it dirty.

It's showing Out of stock for me too under default store pickup but if you switch to shipping, it's showing available still for me. Hope that helps!

I've not used this and was ready to pull the trigger based on the no-think price but decided to click on reviews. They are mostly positive but there were enough negatives that straight up said it didn't work or that a microfiber cloth was easier that I resisted the impulse buy for now.

I would be interested in hearing first hand accounts of this product and whether or not it is worthwhile.

Thanks OP. Other Rain-X products are on sale as well, including liquid anti-fog and original liquid Rain-x for windshields. I bought one of each.

Is the original price inflated? Seems expensive for a sponge.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank nohomers1

People wondering if magic erasers scratch glass must not have glass shower enclosures. Magic Erasers are the only thing that gets them clean and removes water spots and soap scum. Absolutely will not harm the windshield, but it does seem like overkill as Windex (ammonia) or isopropyl alcohol wipes easily remove windshield film and dirt. The only pain is getting my arm down to the base of the windshield.

Magic eraser might mess up window tint though?

Bought this a few years ago, along with the anti fog spray, I think this might've been near regular price back then. Probably less than 10 total! I can't imagine I would ever buy a pad like this for anything near current full price.
What anti fog spray are you using (link), and if it's working well and for approx. How long?

I use this stuff, but not for in my car. I use it on my bathroom mirrors for shaving, apply every couple weeks

I'm pretty sure it is break dust. I'm not sure my 20 year old car was still off gassing when the windows became hazy.

Rain x liquid anti fog will absolutely help reduce that film on the inside of the windshield. Also apply their other product to the outside of the windshield and winters are so much nicer
