I have the 55 inch version of this. NO complaints. I mainly use it for games. The one thing that I will suggest is that when you get this, after you install it, run the pixel refresh. Since these have been sitting in their box for over a year, there might be a little bit of variation between the pixels, which you will notice and wonder if you made a mistake buying it. The TV will automatically maintain its pixels over the years, but not when it's in a box and not plugged in, so just running that refresh from the menu one time will make it like new.

Thanks for the post!

I literally just purchased this combo via Costco Direct last Thursday at $1499 for the TV/insurance. It is scheduled for delivery on the 10/09/24. Was able to go in on the Costco website and request a price adjustment from Costco today, so hopefully I'll be getting that $200 difference back in a few days.

And, these C3s are slightly upgraded from the original C3 model (the C3 originally had WIFI 5, while these have WIFI 6). I honestly couldn't see enough difference to be worth paying more for the C4.

Q: Does the Allstate insurance cover burn ins?

A: Allstate insurance does not cover burn in. On my 4 year 8 month old LG 65 B9 OLED, I recently went through the process (about a month ago). The end result was they do not cover burn in. Their messaging seemed to imply burn in occurred because of abuse or use outside the norms. Mine was an odd circular-ish area in the middle of the screen. It would seem a little more reasonable if I had some logo burn in, but it doesn't ever sit on any channel with the fixed logos. It general is just playing movies and occasional tv shows.

I knew this could happen, but I'm seriously reconsidering purchasing from Costco. The insurance is virtually meaningless. I think Best Buy is going to be a little more expensive than Allstate. If Best Buy extended warranty covers burn in, I think i'm going with them for a piece of mind this won't happen within the 5 years of a new LG purchase.

Best Buy extended warranty do indeed cover burn-in, which is why I've exclusively purchased by OLED TVs from them.

C3 or C4 if I'm putting it in a brighter room? Is the C4 much better in this regard?
Go C3 or if budget allows, go G3. Difference between c3 and c4 is not much, just stick with c3.

I really don't think burn in is at all an issue unless the screen is being used like a picture to display information and not changing.

I've had OLED tv for a long time now, and honestly never heard of anyone having burnin. These tvs have things in place to prevent it and you can run different diagnostics to prevent it even still and again, if it's being used like a normal tv, you really aren't going to have an issue, certainly not within 5 years.
