I picked one of these up at Costco last year for $59 and target in certain markets have them on clearance for $59 as well although I saw the clearance sign at target last week they were sold out.

I picked up a non stainless steel I think from Woot for like $35, and I absolutely love it. I would feel sheepish paying $100 or $180, but it really brings a nice level of luxury to my mornings to have a cup at exactly the right temperature until I'm done with it.

Does not have stainless steel interior. The coatings of the ember mugs flake off (especially if you ever use a metal utensil to stir). The stainless interior of this model fixes that issue

As someone who owns a stainless steel ember mug(I got a rose gold one from target a few years ago), I can tell you that the inside is NOT stainless steel. It may be a different material than the normal ember mug, but it is not steel and it will eventually flake. I have used mine over a 1000 times and it just now may be starting to show some signs of wear, so I am going to buy this one because I love the mug and use it daily.

That's like the most important part. Are you sure it's not because it's rose colored and that's what flaking off?

Yes, unfortunately so. I will clarify a bit...the walls of the cup seem like THEY are steel, as is the outside, but the bottom is definitely not. Personally...this would not deter me from buying it. I like the heavier feel of the steel cup, even if it is just the walls and outside of the cup

As someone stated above, it's $80 now. That's a pretty good deal for this particular model, stainless steel. And you can't beat the Costco return policy in case you have issues with it in the future.
