Would like to get the "Made in America" version at double this price.

Walmart is listing this pot with a limited lifetime warranty in the description, and I think that's a misprint.

Edit: This is not Lodge's new MADE IN AMERICA Enamled cast iron.

Not sure why made in USA version is almost 10x the price of this.

Lodge sees the "Made in USA" version as equivalent to Staub or Le Creuset which command that premium. I'm not sure consumers will agree as they will see 2 different Lodge dutch ovens with radically different prices.

Made in the USA is more expensive because you can't pay Americans $4 a day. It's not rocket science.

Aldi was clearing out their enameled Dutch ovens for under $15 this week (Aisle of Shame YMMV). Just in time for No Knead Bread season.

That's good to know, will have to swing by there and see if they have any at my local store. Were the prices better than this (if you remember the prices)
Thanks in advance

Beware of these, they moved manufacturing to China, and it shows. Quality control is non existent.

I had a Lodge enameled pot for the past 7 years, then when it came time to replace, the new one rusted after first use along the top edge. The booklet clearly states there's no exposed metal, it just looks that way because it's clear enamel. Oh yeah, then how did it rust.

I returned it and considered buying the made in the USA one instead, but my faith in Lodge enamel has been shaken. For that price I bought a Le Creuset on sale instead.

You don't need the "USA" line. Just don't get the made-for-Walmart line. https://www.lodgecastiron.com/essentialenamel (see the visual design and size difference (5.5qt vs 6qt) on the official Lodge site?) Even Walmart carries the regular "model": https://www.walmart.com/brand/lod...n/10000874 (the 6-quart)

Assuming this product is legit and not a knockoff, then this is basically the equivalent of the Black Friday TV "specials" where the manufacturer makes a line specific to a retailer, cheapening out on components/materials/build quality to meet the retailer's target sale price point.
