samsung had refurbished S23s pretty cheap a couple of weeks ago. between the s23 and 24 not much of a difference. i'd get that and save some money. also, s25 should not be too far out so you could hold out until then and get a better deal
The screen is much smaller on the S23 FE than the S24 FE.

128gb storage is nowhere near enough for long term use.
Plenty for us, it really depends on the person. We don't use phones for games, which I hear eats up the most space. We use tablets and laptops for that.
Quick question: On the new Galaxy S24, when you swipe down or up, does the keyboard automatically pop up from the bottom? I know third-party Finder apps can do this, but I'm curious if Samsung finally added this feature to their OS. Anyone noticed? I have S22 ultra and use nova launcher to achieve this.
Been waiting for a good S24 deal, especially now that my S10e is so old that Samsung won't give me more than $100 in trade-in value for it.
Do we expect this will drop any lower on Black Friday? I will probably need to get the 256gb model ($660) at a bare minimum due to the loss of the SD card slot from the phone I'm coming from.
That's what I'm holding out for, but probably from Samsung's site. If I'm not enticed on BF, I'll probably wait to see what the S25 offers in Jan/Feb.
Alternatively one could just get a google pixel thats handy and has less bloatware. Or try OnePlus or Motorola.
Motorola offers 3 years of OS updates. Samsung offers 7 years.
Samsung phones will hold resale/trade-in value far better than a Motorola phone will.
Samsung has a fully developed ecosystem, Motorola doesn't.
Samsung has significantly better software.
These criticisms all apply to OnePlus phones too, just generally to a lesser extent.
I think Pixels aren't a bad option. I don't really like their version of Android - but many people strongly prefer Google's skin. They're also your only option if you're a hardcore techie and want to run a custom version of Android, like GrapheneOS - which is very cool. I'm a little leery of Pixels given how just about every generation they've had some severe issue - but meh. Probably a good idea to go to a Best Buy and inspect both a Pixel 9/S24 yourself.
