Is this the best deal for a 2230? This is the only format my 11th Gen laptop supports and want more then 512Gb of storage. Plus the speeds suck. So I was thinking of doing the 2Tb.

Best deal? Maybe not, but it's a good price on one of the faster/fastest 2230s. There's a Teamgroup 2tb on Amazon for $136 but it's only like 60% the speed.

Would that even make a difference on a steam deck?

I already ordered teamgroup 2tb for my steam deck. Steam deck uses pcle 3.0 so I don't think I can feel the speed difference whether I use teamgroups or this right?

220 tbw is very low. 😳 If your ordering for a rog ally or legion go I suggest going with a 2280 + adapter.

Sounds likely? I've got the ROG Ally Z1e with PCIe4 "The compact M.2-2230 SSD is attached via PCIe 4.0 and reaches a maximum transfer rate of 4.5 GB/s according to Asus"
This is probably overkill for me even though I want it.

Still plenty. as storage for gaming media the average gamer will not be writing terabytes of data to it daily. got this this for $140 for my rog ally using the 2280 version. very happy with it.

the hack is that with a 2230 to CF express B adapter, you can stop paying for ultra premium CF-B cards, which the cheapest 2TB ones are 300 dollar and runs to 700 dollars.
