No one has anything to say about this deal? That doesn't bode well.

I couldn't justify getting an HDD for extra storage in a gaming PC, but for a regular desktop, I might consider using it in a RAID setup to boost transfer speeds. In the end, I decided to go with two 4TB M.2 NVMe drives instead. I knew I'd regret buying an HDD every time a game took longer to load.

Would this pair well with the Amazon Synology deal I picked up before?

I wouldn't. I typically go with the refurb enterprise drives or "red" drives. Here are some examples:

https://slickdeals.net/f/17791887
https://slickdeals.net/f/17776737
https://slickdeals.net/f/17797650

I normally buy 2, run tests against them for a few days, then replace my smallest drive and let the resliver run.
