I've got a handful of brands, including this mixed together. Everything plays nice together. Never used the micromags, but I imagine that if they are compatible with normal magnatiles, they will work with other brands as well

There was an off brand set recently on SD that I believe had a lot of pieces for the price, but I wanted to wait until prime day to see if magna-tiles went on sale. I should have asked for the communities input, does anyone have experience with these VS off brands or what? They all look similar, might not be in person. Is it worth purchasing these at the magma-tile price premium? I think the other set was called Titan blocks but spelled differently. Thanks in advance!

Would you say it's worth getting magma-tiles and paying a premium over purchasing some of the other cheaper brands? Explain. Thank you!

The titan tiles are not riveted, whereas MAGNA-tiles are (from what I understand?)

The Magna-tiles are riveted and are known to be more durable. For me personally, I stay away from off brand magnet tiles, because if one breaks the magnets are extremely dangerous if ingested.
I imagine some kids and their families do just fine with the off brand ones, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with them.

yes, I have been using the Tytan brand tiles and they work perfectly together at less than half the price!
