Is this as cheap as ghosts get these days? I've been watching for a while, used to be able to get them closer to 50 bucks
They haven't been $50 in years. The hottest deal on the 14 was about $65 and that deal was gone in hours.

Got a pair for the missus and I. Considering inflation this is slick enough for me. Can't find any $55-65 range for Brooks in decent colorways anymore.

Tried a pair of these at Ross size 11.5. They felt real narrow on the toe box. Tight around the ankle as well. I felt like I would roll an ankle with these. They looked nice though.

I've been wearing these shoes religiously for 6 years and I am done. I will never buy another pair. The heel padding wears out so fast that the shoe is unwearable long before the tread has worn out.

Is this good for (plantar fasciitis) ??

Thanks,
I would recommend the brooks adrenaline GTS 23 for that since it is a stability/support shoe.

The Ghost series are some of the best running shoes out there. If you have wide toes you'll love the wider toe box. No more ugly callouses on the side of your big toe Big Grin

I think these are made for paved tracks rather than hiking/uneven terrain. The sole is softer for impact absorption.

I suppose better than average, as I would call this cushier sneakers. A sneaker isn't going to solve your problem though. I have only had plantar fasciitis from overuse, which required constant stretching out and working those tiny tissues on the bottom of your foot. Tight calves can also contribute.
Thanks for your reply

I purchased these shoes on the last deal alert I got for them. I almost wonder if I got "knock off" shoes. The quality is really bad - built super cheap. The padding is very thin, and the bottom of the shoe is not expected to last long. I somewhat thought these were a "flagship" shoe for Brooks. I typically buy Saucony and will be going back to them in the near future. I feel like I wasted money on these shoes.

Dicks had some "supportive messaging" Ghosts that the internet hated. I would have bought them but they didn't have my size as nobody can read the words when I'm on my treadmill Wink

Outside of that...this is the lowest you're going to get.

Dang that's horrible. I've been a huge Ghost wearer. Best pair though? Their Launch series. It's geared more for running (less cushion than a Ghost) but as a walking person it felt....wonderful.

Brooks is also the only "running" shoe that had good wide sizes, so if you normally wear a wide shoe consider going that route. Ultimately we're all different so you may be best served with the shoe that works best for you Smilie
