Nice vac but the gotcha is the V12 is incompatible with ALL of the other Dyson parts because it uses smaller tube. So the V11 or V15 is easier to get accessories/parts. After I figured that out I bought the V11.

I would go with one that has the fluffy (for bare floors) and a torque/motorhead for the carpets. The twist tool is excellent for pet hair, so be sure to get that. I also bought another tube ($29) because it makes it easier to change out the brushheads without bending Smilie The V11 and V15 are about the same pickup wise, and you can get a refurb one i you so wish from ebay/dyson with all the tools. The V15 steps up to the laser fluffy so if you really want that then it makes sense. Personally I would stay away from V12 because all its accessories are proprietary to that model.

Edit: I forgot to mention the V12 has a much smaller pickup canister than the others, however this is an excellent price.

The v11 is a clearance item and lacks a monitor. Wouldn't recommend it, the v12 is comparable to the v15 except that the v15 has more suction and the v12 is lighter.
