Not sure if they have to be broken in, or if these style of boots are simply not ideal for walking up and down a hill, but my ankle was killing me. The top part of the boot kept on digging into my leg. I tried tucking my jeans into my boot but that didn't solve the issue completely. I had a pair of some no-name brand boot that I used to mow grass on a hill and I never had issues with it digging into my leg. I took the laces off the two highest points of the Wolverine boot. It helped only slightly. It was the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. I got to check if I can still return them back to walmart. ðŸ˜
They definitely run a bit large. I went back to my original size and they fit pretty good.
I have to say that Wolverine is pretty great. Free returns for a swap of refund. Super easy.
Just ordered up a pair for my dad, the boots for the wife and another pair of Merrels for me!

for $30 I'll try some rubber muck boots...

is there a trick to descending scrabble? Like sideways sidesteps? Or smaller steps?

Are these worth $30 bucks? Everyone says the boots are uncomfortable, but what about these which look more like sneakers?

Thanks. Do you recommend trail running shoes over hiking shoes for regular hiking (not running)
