Just got a price match for mine that was just delivered. Woot.

Yes great for productivity. I'm on a 3060ti and haven't gamed yet but I expect the experience will be poor with that card but works fine for 8k via DP.

Also, the 240hz mode only works with a few AMD cards. None of the nVidia cards do that as they don't support the needed DP or HDMI versions.

My wife just said the same thing.

Great deal OP, on the fence as my current 38" Dell is near-perfect but my eyes are starting to feel their age.

The price history shows a sale price of $500. True?
It's possible the other monitor freebie that's included is messing up the history graph.

Is Macbook Pro 15" M1 able to drive this monster?

For production and not for gaming.

How is the color accuracy compare to Mac?
Don't know but I have M1 Max and would like to know what's the maximum refresh rate can I get and if I can only use a lower refresh rate, does that make using the monitor for productivity still worth it? I don't have PC with dedicated GPU so trying to figure out if I can use MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Max and big monitor? Thank you !

I have an Ergotron Ultrawide monitor arm that I love. Would this work with it? Like is it VESA compatible?

I am running this with my 4090 at full 7680x2160, 120 Hz. Does not support 240 Hz. Playing Horizon Forbidden West with all settings turned to max and I am getting stable 95-100 fps. It is incredible.

If you want to use it with PiP / PbP mode, Adaptive Sync and HDR are NOT supported. I was looking to do that first with two outputs from my 4090 to mimic my old dual monitor setup (two 2k 27 inch screens), and while it looks and works fine, I needed Adaptive Sync and HDR. But single huge monitor actually works great with Win 11 once you get used to it.

Another nice thing about this monitor is built in KVM switch. My keyboard and mouse connect to the monitor (through inexpensive hub), and to two different computers (my main desktop and work laptop). I can just toggle the input on the monitor to switch everything to another computer. Really helps reduce the clutter on my desk.

With this monitor, you want an arm. The included stand will take too much space on your desk. Don't get $400 arms, I got a $100 arm from Amazon and it works great once you adjust it.

Has anyone here owned this monitor for close to a year? I had it for about 6 months and it was great as everyone says, then one day I put it in standby in the morning, came back home and it would not wake up. It's running power off a rock solid UPS that never logged a switch to battery, so power issues ruled out. All attempts to resuscitate failed. Samsung sent a tech out as thank god the warranty covered it, and they said it would need a new display panel. Few weeks pass and apparently they gave up on sourcing a replacement panel and refunded me the $2400 (purchased at launch, while price on SD had fallen to around $1575 at the time - LOL)
You'll see similar stories on Reddit... it works fine, no symptoms at all, then dies. I think the pricing reflects that. Yes, all monitors/displays have their potential defects, but this one seems systemic. Maybe the "launch" batch was bad - I really hope so because you can't get a better monitor than this, especially when more DP2.1 cards become available

Got an open box at BestBuy for 1000 a while ago, there were some for 800 but none in my area. Never seen this cheaper than those.
