First off, 66% higher cost is not insignificant. Secondly, it's a big heavy 16 inch and a totally different market.

What's your typical use case and how long does your battery last for those use cases?
Just mild use, mostly word, excel, emails, some movie watching. I haven't run it through a full cycle but when I check my battery life early on it usually says between 8-10 hours left.

Since this supports Thunderbolt via USB4, is it safe to assume this can work well with an ext GPU?

Just got one. It has good specs and the build quality doesn't seem bad. It comes with a 2 year warranty too.

This or the hp envy 360 deal at bestbuy?
I got the HP at Best buy. The trackpad stopped working on day 2, support was useless. Going back to BB and I'll get this instead.

I rarely return stuff but they've become a pain sometimes. I guess it depends on who handles the return. They've given me a really hard time returning a bad food item once to the point that I walked away annoyed and threw it into their trash (I return maybe one food item every 2 years and they didn't even know my account yet), while they didn't really ask me any major questions when I returned 2 laptops in a row due to one defective pixel... Go figure...
I want to return luggage over a year old. I still have the box. Is that wrong ?

First off, it's 30 days. Secondly, yes they will budge but it's ymmv. In my location, they will because they don't want a return.
yes depends on the manager. manager can approve price adjustment.

I just got it, it seems much better than the HP. Faster, better built and the included software for the updates is very good, reminiscent of Lenovo. Very impressed with this Acer laptop. Also, it brings a protective sleeve, I didn't see that in the description anywhere.

Is this something to jump on or will black Friday have better deals? Can ram be added?
  • 16GB LPDDR5X RAM

LPDDR means RAM is soldered onto the motherboard. No upgrades.

It likely would. It does however look like the eGPU market is not very robust in 2024.

You can probably find something if you're willing to look for it, but future upgrades may not be guaranteed.

Bought this but am considering returning. I keep having laggy performance, unexpected for a Meteor Lake laptop with 16GB RAM and basic web (Chrome) usage. Is anyone else experiencing lagginess?
