Meh, involves AFFIRM and soft pulls just for some minimal savings on a GPU. XFX MERC310 7900 XTX was $788 on Amazon yesterday and I think that would be the type of deal we will start to see more often.

Future price drops aside, there is nothing from NVIDIA that can match the performance of this card at this price.

I promised myself I would only buy one of these if it dropped below 700 but this is super tempting

I'm waiting for the 8xxx-series at this point. The rumors are that it will be a much better value. I know if I pay $500+ for a graphics card then could have 30% more performance for the same price in January, I'll be kicking myself.

Official price drops are incoming, so some say there's a high chance of it going lower.

Literally no one bought yesterday's deal 788. Here's what happened, very few people buying it when it was Prime-Only, then they opened it up to NON-prime members because they weren't selling well.

Don't trust amazon's 1000 people bought this in the past month counter, that's fake. They use it to manipulate sentimentality and artificial scarcity. There's no way Amazon even has over 1000 7900xtx mercs.

8800xt for $500 is the hopeful.

Below 700 is very possible. Because once the 8800xt comes out, everyone will hold out to see what the 8900xt/xtx has to offer.

If you don't release the whole stack, people will just keep Hodling. Look at the 9-series cpu, They've sold like 2 of um.

I would recommend you guys get the phantom for 850 unless you think the better warranty service is worth it, that board gives you more peak current.

This is always going to be the case with technology. If you need it now, just buy it.

Got a 4070 ti super for just under 700, but similar thought to you. Might try to sell it and just wait to see what next generation does. But already hearing 5070 will have only 12 gb of ram so...

Great card as long as you don't care about RT. 24Gb of RAM is super future proof.

Based on recent news interviews with AMD, it looks like there may not be any high end 8000 series cards as they scale back from enthusiast grade GPU. https://www.pcgamesn.com/amd/new-...et%20share.

Just wait until next generation gpus's are released. The less people buy now, the more it'll be discounted after release.

Really? I heard AMD would only focus on mid- and low-end GPUs in the next generation. Have you heard otherwise?
