Hey OP - this is a great deal and should get more TU's. SATA is owned by Apex Tool, which owns GearWrench. If you look at the design of this set, it looks just like the GW set, which sells for significantly more. Also, the lifetime warranty should work just like GW's, which is super easy to use if anything ever breaks (which is unlikely, but it's nice to have, just in case). Also, it's nice to see no skip on the metric sizes, and a really nice blow molded case (note the Channellock pass thru deal has a metric skip and I don't think it comes with a case (and this is 6 point sockets, as well, as mentioned, above).

If I didn't already have 2 pass thru sets, myself, I'd jump on this deal.

EDIT - one last note on COO. Apex makes it very hard to find, as it doesn't even appear on SATA's own website [satatools.us] fact page. Zoro [zoro.com], however, shows COO as China (and not Taiwan). Just an FYI.

Nice to see 6 point instead of the spline drive found on most pass-thru sets.

I was just about to comment on that. They absolutely look identical to my GW set

SATA is typically just cheaper Gearwrench. Even though the tools often look identical and perform similarly, they can cut costs by having it made in China versus Taiwan and maybe skipping some heat treating, finishing, and quality control steps.

I bought my first Gearwrench version of this set decades ago, and though I rarely have need for the pass-thru feature, I love how low profile it is because the socket fits up into the wrench. The one thing I dislike about this set is the squarish handle, so I typically grab a better one, but that's probably just personal preference.
