$36.

I don't have this switch but I do have a YuanLey 8 port gigabit PoE switch that has been running continuously for 3-4 years now with 0 issues.

Yep, one would just be paying for the name. It's not a good deal.

I don't mind paying for a name for network components but according to the wise camels this is basically always this price

Good luck buying a no name switch. I am sure the firmware is squeaky clean.

QNAP is not a "no name" they primarily make NAS devices

I think he was referring to other more inexpensive options.

Clean as can be. Anybody can verify using Wireshark.

This is a 4-port switch with 2 SFP ports. In order to use SFP, you'd need to buy a transceiver which costs $20-50 each. Ok if you want to future-proof, just know that this only has 4 Ethernet ports.

You don't necessarily need a transceiver

My issue is that I want to use a switch with a 10 GbE/2.5GbE as my main aggregator switch after the router and before a larger 1GbE switch for slower devices. It should connect the router to the NAS and the critical computer via 10GBE and the other switches down the line.

Which means this switch should in theory, be the most powerful, most dependable and it should be a managed switch, correct (for vlan and stuff).

These look too simple and dumb to perform that role?

In other words, I'm confused for what is it's use case.
