Just changing the email didn't work for me this time. Anyone knows what information needs to be changed from previous acct other than the email?

New member promos seem to keep getting worse. Used to be free after gift card bonus offer for years. Then $10. Last month, it was $15. Now $20.

Yeah it would be nice to have another year (my membership just expired) but I'm not feeling it at $20.

Sam's apparently has been upgrading their systems to prevent people from doing this. The new system apparently associates things like names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and phone numbers. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were also doing the same with credit card numbers as well.

Already have Costco, Sam's is a nice option for the times when it's craziness at the Costco. And difference in variety is nice too...Costco gets boring after a while.

If you have Gmail you can do your Gmail and then [email protected]. It will go to your email but be new in their system. This is what I do and it's worked great.

Yea, I've been doing that for past few years. That didn't work this time. Not sure what triggered that I have expired acct. changed credit card and email, so they're also tracking either phone number or address…

Edit: just enrolled with my spouse's info with my credit card. So probably tracking email and phone number.

Scan and go is what is keeping sams club alive for me and most people that still have their membership. $20 is too much for the basic membership though

Try with a different phone number (you can get one for free from Google voice)
