Does anyone know if this qualifies for the free one-year Google AI Premium Plan?

I know the device definitely does (Acer Chromebook Plus 515), but I'm wondering because this is a refurbished deal.

I was able to redeem the one year on my refurb Acer Chromebook 516 GE from the Acer recertified store.

That's awesome! Do you know if the plan is tied to the ownership of the device (i.e. if you were to sell the chromebook before the end of 1 year, would you lose the plan)?

This is an amazing chromebook. I have it for more than a year. Snappy and portable for most applications. My kids play roblox and minecraft on it with no issues also.

AI premium free year stays on your google account regardless of what you do with the device.

I purchased a new plus 514 thru Amazon which was promptly returned for a refund as I was unhappy with the screen size once I began to use it daily. No changes to plan.

Great deal. Fast CPU for a ChromeBook (11000 Benchmark [cpubenchmark.net]). Tired of my HP Celeron ChromeBook with 4GB RAM, so I got one.

It has USB-C charging but no SD card slot. Unlike many CBs, this one does have a fan since the CPU can draw 55W at peak.

i was thinking of grabbing this to put linux onto it. mrchrome seems to suggest the bios/uefi can be rewritten, but i'm not sure i want to deal with 8gb ram...

It can only be redeemed once per device, so if the person that owned it before refurbishing redeemed it then its gone. I got a 516 GE refurb a few days after they announced the free year so obviously had no issue.

This seems like a good deal. I have a 516 from a deal a year or two ago and I love it (except for the touchpad). And it was $349. Granted, better processor, but this still looks like a winner.

It's not worth the trouble, I have tried this before with different CBs and each of them is different, just spend $50 more and get a windows laptop.

This is a decent price, but a few things are a must for me when it comes to buying a Chromebook. Touchscreen and a backlit keyboard. When it comes to the screen, it has to be a 3:2 or a 16:10.
