For all cellphones Activated with TracFone on the T-Mobile or AT&T networks on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked upon customer request after twelve (12) months of active TracFone service.
For all cellphones Activated with TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically, sixty (60) days after Activation.
I'm pretty sure they don't activate on anything but verizon now.

If UNLOCKED Metro phone works on T-Mobile, will it work on Mint Mobile? Thank you.
Mint uses tmobile, so yes.

I got this from claude dot ai:

To determine if a Moto G Power is unlocked, you can try these methods:
1. Check the settings: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network. If you see an option for "Network Operators" or "Carrier Selection," the phone is likely unlocked.
2. Insert a different carrier's SIM card: If the phone connects to the new network, it's unlocked. If it doesn't or asks for an unlock code, it's likely locked.
3. Contact the original carrier: They can tell you if the phone is unlocked or offer to unlock it if eligible.
4. Check the IMEI number: Use an online IMEI checker or contact Motorola with the IMEI to verify the unlock status.
5. Review your purchase details: If you bought the phone directly from Motorola or as "unlocked" from a retailer, it should be unlocked.
call the Tracfone unlocking dept.

Does this support esim? From what I gather carrier versions don't.

I don't care about the service. I have much cheaper service.Port in GV number is cheap.
I'm new -- what is a GV number, and do you know what are talking about when they say pay the $3... for something? (maybe unlock?)

I understand this ST deal doesn't need a port. But, Total has it for $65 with port.

Good deal if someone is looking to stay on ST for 3-months. Got the phone from Total yesterday. Excellent phone for the price point.
It's not 65 though, pretty sure after everything it comes to more like 80-90.

If you are already using your GV number that is linked to your only real number, how do you get a second one to use for porting out? I just need a real cheap (like 1-3 dollars) way to port into TF if anyone has one.

I'm ready to replace my Samsung s10e. My s10e uses the power button as the fingerprint sensor and I rarely get it to work. How does this phone do in that regard?

I got this for 65+tax on the TracFone deal and already ported in my gv number but would much rather go through this as my primary is T-Mobile and all I care about is using it as my primary. However whenever I go through metros site it comes out to 99 for the phone and 75 for the metro plus plan (which I read is required) coming to +double what I spent. How are you getting your price?
What phone number are you using for porting in? If it's from mvno of t mobile, you lost the discount

People are porting Google voice numbers, also easy enough to get a working number from red pocket ($10) or others -even cheaper- and port that # in.

is this phone a lot better than Samsung A15? I heard if you fix some settings for A15, it becomes a decent phone.

A15 is low end, this is actually the best middle end or actually somehow high end.

It support wireless charging, esim, displayport over usb C. Has 256G storage, 8G ram.

Usually you never see all of these features on a middle end phone...

I paid around $20 in taxes on phone MSRP plus $65 for plan with Total.

At Metro, for iPhone 12 deal, it was just plan cost and no taxes for phone.

So, YMMV.
