45mm case for those wondering. Too big for me personally. It seems most of the eco drives are larger. I guess they need more space for whatever movement is in there to keep the watch running.

Thanks for posting and repped

Too much red for me, but nice simple design.

See attached.

EDIT:

I did purchase this. I have had another Citizen watch [jomashop.com] for over 10 years, same Eco-Drive movement, and still works perfectly.

This red watch is a close cousin with the same movement, so don't think I can go wrong using it as what the OP says a "beater watch", for working in the home or on cars or other applications where a nice watch would be in danger.

Odd. I bought 2 watches from Jomashop and never had any issue. Defective how?

Nice deal. Coincidentally I recently went back to wearing a Citizen Eco-Drive watch which must be at least 10 years old. It was dead, but I put it in the window for an afternoon and it's been keeping time perfectly since. I definitely paid way more than this at the time (probably 2-3x), and this is a great price.

Looks like a kid's watch. The brand name is not the most appealing either.
Well, look at the price. Were you expecting this to be a Tag Heuer for $60?

True, the red portion appears to be plastic material.

Well, I wrote most. And I was referring to the ones I come across are generally larger

The last one was probably 6 years ago, so maybe they're better. Two of the three had defective dial seals and the third one had the finish rub right off the band within a couple weeks. Knock off garbage, imo

To you, it looks like a kid's watch. Not to me. 45mm is a real man's size.
AND Citizen is an excellent, very well-known brand.

Eco-drive movements are the best, in my opinion. Best of both worlds. No battery changes and accuracy of a quartz movement.
I'm a collector and watch enthusiast.

All that said, this design is not singing to me. The tiny date window renders the date illegible for my older eyes without readers. I do not dislike the red/black theme though.
