It's actually a good product, inside is stainless, temperature control, boils fast, and looks good. I bought it used and haven't had an issue.
It looks good but it is noisy. The lid on my kettle sounds like an old barn door when I close it. Also, it beeps a lot. To get a cup of tea you'll go through 7 beeps: 1 beep to switch it on, 1 beep to start boiling, 1 beep to switch off keep warm, 3 beeps when it is done, and 1 more beep when you put it back after pouring your water. Not for those averse to beeping. And it is not one button operation if you like simplicity.
The lid is like the body. Plastic outside, lined by stainless steel inside.

To anyone that asks, yes, kettle is over-filled in the image. Been doing so for over a year, almost daily, lol.

I would assume she manufactures these herself. Maybe she has the help of a 3D printer.

I anticipate its arrival then. Temps are coming down quickly where I'm at, so when it arrives I'll switch from cold drinks to hot drinks. I've many new teas I'm trying out.

I had one for a few years and it was great, until it started leaking from the bottom. I'm guessing something rusted around the temp sensor.

If I had to nitpick, the temperature will rise between 10-15F of what you set due to it shutting off as soon as it hits your temp. The breville kettle I have will slowly ramp up once it gets close to your set temp.

No rust. Had some spots show up immediately but it was just where the metal gets heated.

Sounds like it is shorting out or you have too many things running at the same time on that circuit

I have this. It works beautifully! Solid product.

If you run it on the same outlet with a microwave or toaster oven going at the same time you will throw the breaker. Use one at a time.

I've had this kettle for about 3 years. It works great, easy to clean, looks decent. My only complaint is the buttons. They often take multiple stabs to get them to react. It's not difficult, just a minor annoyance. Not a reason to replace it. Once, I somehow switched the temp to Celsius and it took me a while to painstakingly find the 2 button combo that switches the units. And now I can't remember which 2 finally worked.

Agreed. Sounds like it is either a problem with the product or your house. Hope that helps.
