Not to be confused with the commercial version that is $499 - and sounds like a much better value.

That is the XGT (40V) model that is very YMMV. I couldn't find any of them around me. Even the store that said it had stock, I couldn't find it. Today, I got this version w/self-propelled for $250 in my local store. It was the last one, but they had one more walk-behind for the same price. That deal is also very YMMV. I ended up getting lucky that my store had one of each in top stock.

How does the free blower tool ebate work? Do you have to buy the matching blower tool at the same time? Or do they mail you a free blower after buying a mower?

I only have the $399 one with the smaller batteries near me. I really need a mower but trying to find the best deal I can.

You upload pictures of your receipt, UPC and serial number and they mail you the blower

I have the self-propelled version of this, which works great on my 6000 sq ft of sloped wild lawn over septic field. If the grass is high, I change the batteries after 3000 sq ft, and if it's lower it can do the whole area on one charge with 5 Ah batteries.

Home Depot has the self-propelled version for only $50 more, also with four 5 Ah batteries. I'd go with that one unless you have a small flat lawn or like the workout.

How's the cut on this? I got a battery powered Toro that's a pos. It leaves tons of stragglers. I had a gas powered Honda that was 40 years old and it was great but finally died. Luckily i got the Toro on clearance for $150, wouldn't pay more than that for it.

I have a "wild lawn" over a septic field, so I don't really pay attention to the quality of the cut. In general I'd assume that a 36v lawnmower won't be exceptional if you're looking for the best looking lawn.
