Does anyone who used similar AMEX offers in the past know if Lowes GC purchased instore will qualify? I'm assuming "corporate gift cards" refer to Starbucks/Apple GCs?

No, corporate gift cards does not refer to 3rd party gift cards. Every Lowes offer I've gotten with Amex I've purchased Visa or Amazon cards in store and received credit each time.
