Other reports are saying Tmo SIM in an Iphone won't work before unlock. He may have had a Metro SIM.

check your pm

sign up with visible using esim. If you don't have spare, just use an existing one, but use another phone to activate, that way you d n't have to 'fix' it later.

once you see a charge on your credit card, request port out pin and use that info to sign up with Metro.

I was there when he put the sim in and it definitely was a T-Mo sim and when powered on, T-Mo showed on top.

The other threads have all tried a Tmo SIM and got no service in a locked Metro 12 or 13.

Yeah luckily found a place that only charged first month and sales tax. I will be using them to trade in deals.

Yes, US Mobile will let you port out.

I did this the other day after being on the free trial for 3 weeks, It's pretty quick via the online chat. Took about 10 mins in total, they asked why I'm leaving, I told them I was joining a Plan with my Family. Chat REP got me my Acct# and Port out PIN immediately.
