Yes, metro is a prepaid service so you can stop after first month.

So besides being locked , you only have to sign up for 1 month of service to get the iPhone 12 for free?

Sooner or later will be activated by system. Locked to metro for one year

Has anyone used the mksd ultra v5.6 esim to use this phone on total wireless? I got the phone to open up w the total wireless sim but it just shows SOS and doesn't ever get service. Not sure if I have to change the sim application settings or something? Any help is much appreciated
