Try to get a new number from Visible. It's very easy. Just need to text to the chatbot something like "Change my number".

Whatever you plan to do with these Metro deal, do not, I repeat, do not ever delete eSim on your phone. You wont be able to recover it. Metro website QR code doesn't work, their phone support doesn't work, they just let you go to nearest Metro store to verify your ID and sometimes they don't even help you.

If I just want to trade in the phone to Apple, I don't think it matters. Just turn off the auto pay and let it be.

Wait at least 1 hour, you should be able to use the number again ( at least that's what my experience was multiple times)

Wow, I didn't know you could do that. Wish I'd known this earlier Smilie

My account payment was actually due today, is it worth a try? I'm not sure how the 72hr grace extension works - should I wait a few days after my account is suspended before requesting the extension, or do they start counting the 72hrs from the account suspension date? I'm just not sure there will be enough time to activate the phone, assuming that the order goes through.

No idea about the grace period. You can probably try to find out.
