You should be able to port the number back to Visible. However, you will need to create a new Visible account because your original account would've been closed once you ported the number to Metro.

Technically speaking once you port the number away from Visible it should close the account, but to be safe you should disable autopay (with Visible autopay is enabled by default).

Once your first month runs out and your service gets suspended for non-payment then there's an option for a free 72hr service extension during your 2nd month (don't have to pay) -- this is what we're talking about during that time

You need active service in order to activate an online order -- you're probably talking about the first paid month which is fine on 7th day

Believe you'll get an email from Visible that service is cancel or something. Also when uou try to use the visible app, says account not find and you need a new number and account. Also yeah, turn off auto pay just in case.

Wrong info (that was for Visible) -- for Metro:

Actually you don't even need to install the app - just activate the phone and connect to wi-fi and you will be prompted to install the plan

Yes you can do that but if you're planning to sell the phone later on you should unpair the phone from your Metro account. You can do that by switching the device for the line to another phone that isn't currently active with Metro.
