These are prepaid deals. You pay after the first month only if you want to stay. Otherwise, just stop paying. Phone and watch is bought outright with the first month service. So, no payment needed after that.

If this is your first line, you can call them too to order via phone. Additional lines possible in store but they usually add lot of hidden fees/sales tax (about/upto 50$ more)

For those who have been using sim hardware to unlock the phone such as MKSD or rsim, how has it been holding up? I'm on the $25 BYOD plan, but very tempted to switch over to t-mobile's business tablet data plan for the better QCI and then use tello for phone, calls, and texts.

the iphone 13 deal had a couple of people talk about this but hasn't had any activity in a while.

Use Visible. US Mobile is catching up with these free trial / port loopholes. You need to chat with someone to get port out PIN from USM. Visible is $5 for first month and self-serve.

I don't have any unlocked phones, only iPhone on Xfinity. Can you get the $5 visible number without having an unlocked phone or do I need to have one to get the number and activate?

If you don't care about the phone number, just trade it in. Last year we traded two iPhone SE3 for iPhone 15 for full discount with T-Mobile and we just gave the box in-store brand new.

No need to wait. If you need the number, you need to move it to another phone as old phone will receive one time SMS and it is tied to the equipment.

Annoying. I'm trying to port in a 2nd line. It errored out at the end of the checkout. Customer service said I have to wait 24 hours, since system auto cancled the port. They told me to call the port assistance line while I do it online so they can see the issue and fix it right away. So I click through and at the identity verification, it doesn't show me the questions and times out and cancles the check out. The CSR just tells me I have to wait 24 hours before I can try again. I thought the whole point of having them on the line was so they could address the issue, not just let it happen again to wait another 24 hours.. They gave me a new number for the "virtual assistant" to do the port... have to try again tommorow..
