Looks like they've officially changed the limit to 2 of the free iPhone 12's per account. If you click on the pop-up on Metro's deal page for the phone, it now says you can get this deal on up to 2 lines, although further down it still says you can get deals on up to 4 lines.. I received my 2nd phone today and went to order a 3rd and it said I was ineligible to order another one.

Dang it!

It shows the full price when I try to add another IPhone to my account.
I might wait a bit and try to create another account if its still free. However its a bit of a pain in the ass lol. Dont really care anymore. I ended up with 4 for about $230 dollars.

BF will have Apple gift cards for sale and should be enough to get me a 16 pro. Hmm

Anyone have experience with activating a second phone/line after their main line/service expires?

My service is up in 2 days and I don't think the 2nd phone is getting here before then.

I just received my first iPhone 12 order from last week. To recap it's my first attempt on a newly created Metro account (after having done the deal for a Moto phone back in March) and when I reached the last submit button I got the "please contact us to complete your order". The guy on the phone has to redo everything on the order and payment attempt I made at that time (this was last week) and the phone arrived today.

I activated the Metro iPhone 12 with no problems and right after that I also activated a new $5 Visible referral line that I also had just received the SIM card for yesterday evening on a backup Samsung device I had. I then proceeded to add another iPhone 12 to the Metro account by porting this Visible line over. Everything was going well and it showed the phone being $0 and the added line being $35 but when I went to submit at the last screen... I got the "please call us to complete your order" screen, again.


I called them and the rep could see my order in the system. She claimed everything went through. I was confused so she put me on hold and went to check into it more, coming back to confirm that it did go through and that I might get a call from the porting department to verify the information. I asked why I didn't see any confirmation email or anything in the account details online and she said I wouldn't until I got the phone and activated it. I still had a hard time believing her so I asked for an order number and she gave it to me. So I don't know what's going on as far as getting that "error" screen but I guess I'll find out in a few days.

edit: adding that I entered the order number she gave me into the Metro Check Order Status pate and it came back with nothing. Still haven't received an email about the order or see anything in my online account about it.

Once the phone is shipped, you can order another. ​Worst case, you can get free extension for few extra days during that time too you can order

They lied to you, your order didn't go through need to have porting cancel and try again but it's getting harder to get orders now to go through

I don't see 2 phone limit. This morning I was able to add 3rd iPhone 12 to cart, show as $35 monthly fee only, it errored out due to security reason, but phone price show up correctly.

I've been trying to add a 4th line for the past 2-3 weeks with no luck. Each time it failed and gave me the dreaded "please contact us" screen, I had to call into the porting department to release the pending port. Now I didn't know this but it turns out the porting department can see every. attempt you've made. The guy was like "I see here that you've been trying to port into Metro with the same number for the past 2 weeks." lol.

Ultimately it's not like they can do anything but it's interesting nonetheless.

Good call, and you were right. I just called back and this time the rep saw the order was attempted and said she was going to help me complete it over the phone. She got a bunch of information but hadn't gotten to requesting the port out PIN or payment yet when she asked if she could put me on hold to check something. She came back a little bit later to explain that she was checking with a supervisor because she could not get the iPhone promo to show up to get it for free. She said it's because the promo is a "limit one free iPhone per account" and that the only suggestion she had was to complete the order as a new account, and then I could merge them. However, the price would be $75 and not $35. I declined and she tried to talk me into it a little more before I ended the call.

I logged in to try again, changing payment card and name, and still got the error to contact them at the end. I may wait a day or two to try calling them again. I was just aiming to get 2 iPhones so I hope I just got some not-so-great reps tonight.
