On the contrary this might not be too bad. I'm vulnerable to motion sickness but webslinger games seems fine.

I don't think it's the movement that makes you sick, it's the sudden turning. I've played Swarm and feels fine but I get motion sickness playing RE4

I'm brand new to this space with a Meta Quest 3. Spent the first hour exploring VR youtube and riding on VR roller coasters without a single issue. Then I decided to see what the Meta world or whatever it's called was like and did the 'tutorial.' At the part where it showed you how to jerk your view left and right with button presses I almost threw up. Who thought that was a good idea? The zipping around on roller coasters was fine. Cliff jumping was fine. Standing in a virtual room and shifting the view side to side was nauseating.

Lots of variability in what makes people sick it seems. Roller coasters make me sick quickly but the snap view if fine. That seems to be general wisdom too. Abrupt changes in view (teleport style) don't trigger most people's motion sickness.

It blows my mind how well Swarm works without triggering motion sickness.

Is this the game that was made by the dev who tried to sue anyone who tried to mimic the same swing mechanic, claiming that he had a patent or something on it?

I believe so. I couldn't find any update on it (though I didn't look hard)

Thanks OP - seems like a great deal on a cool immersive exploration game. It's awesome to see some cool non-violent games.

Sometimes it seems like the stranded development cycle is 1) create cool game idea 2) add guns and blood 3) profit. I appreciate games that can avoid step 2. (Nothing against shooting games, but not all games need it. I don't need guns while playing mini golf, going on roller coasters, or in racing sims.)
