If you have an Apple TV, go with iTunes. If not, I recommend Fandango at Home (fka. Vudu). With that said, familiarize yourself with Movies Anywhere. While it doesnt apply to TV series, once you setup a MA account and link to supported providers (includes those two and others such as Prime Video), MA movies (they'll be labeled in the store as such) can be bought from any of those providers and then watched on any of the providers. For example, you can buy an MA movie on Prime and watch on ATV. Services like Fanflix usually let you redeem the series or movie on any of the major providers.

Happy shopping!

I'm still disappointed that the circa 2011(?) Thundercats reboot didn't take off.

As someone who only has a couple of digital movies owned and no full series collection. Is there a retailer/platform that is superior to the others? I would like to start early with the right one

He-Man went on sale earlier this year in iTunes. Got the whole show for $15! Haven't seen GI Joe yet but the whole series is available on YouTube for free

+1 to this. I originally bought on Vudu and have since switched to Apple as my primary. I wish I had done that all along.

Fantastic show! My wife has a weird thing for Mum-Ra so I always keep some Ace bandage wraps in my nightstand.

Personally speaking I use vudu which became fandango at home. They have very lax sharing policies. I think you can have 30 different devices.
