It's fully wireless, but very finnicky.. the controllers don't always sit properly (especially if you have the velcro handstraps.. total pain, and the headset, I find I have to basically prop the back up so that the front (charging pins) are pushed downwards, otherwise it doesn't charge.
With that said, it works, it's convenient and nice to never have to use wires. I'm sure there are probably alternates. It was too pricey at $129 and still too pricey at $100, but it works and I'm happy I have it.
