That's impossible to do because samsung phones have built-in recovery mode. Like this:
His phone would not start up. So you could not even get to that screen.

Oh he might have wiped the recovery partition. So in another word, he went looking for the recovery partition and messed with it. There is just no way anyone would be looking for the recovery partition.

Just to show you how easy it is to disable an app so you can always turn it back on if something failed via a simple script with just a single line of command. And if you want to permanently uninstall instead of disable then change it to uninstall like this: "./adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 name_of_the_stupid_app".

See how ez that is? 100% idiot proof. You can't mess up even if you want to.

I just did this last week, my previous plan was going to expired on 12/24. When activating, select keep your number. Your remaining minutes/text will become unlimited, your left over data will be added to the 24GB. Your end date will be in January 26. You can activate it as soon as you get the phone, you don't need to wait till your end date of January 25.
Do you have to transfer the number to this new phone? Have my kids on the unlimited talk/text + 24GB but was able to get it setup on their unlocked iPhones. I would like to extend by another year + 24 more GB but don't want to deal with trying to get them back on their iPhones.

In September, I purchased the HSN deal, which included the Tracfone 6.5" BLU View 5G Smartphone with unlimited talk, text, and 24GB of data. I activated the phone this month, and the service is set to end on 10/13/2025. However, the BLU phone is just terrible — it reboots randomly.
My Question: If I get this Tracfone Samsung Galaxy A15 6.5" w/ 1-Year Unlimited Talk, Text & 24GB Data plan, wait for the BLU phone to unlock after 60 days of use, and transfer the phone number from the BLU to Galaxy A15 during activation, will the new phone's service be extended to 10/13/2026, with the unused minutes, texts, and data transferred as well?

Yup, agree and most all the phones are loaded with them, except for Pixel. The Moto Power keeps loading the games more than the Samsung.

Yes. Activate the A15 and choose the keep my number option will do what you want.

The service should stack. See post [reddit.com]. Is your current service on eSIM? I haven't tried eSIM so don't know how easy or difficult with TF service transfer. If on physical SIM, you could probably DIY [reddit.com] to transfer the service back to iPhone after.

Thank you and repped. I will try on my phone first which has mint mobile coming due this month. A shame you have to keep it on the new phone for 60 days to get it unlocked. Not sure I want to wait that long before moving my number back to my pixel 7 pro.

Be grateful it's 60 days and not 12 months like it was 3 yrs ago (or 12 months like Metro is now).

Lol or 36 months if on contract with AT&T. You can't use your phone on overseas trips unless you pay AT&T's expensive roaming fees.

I'm never doing a trade-in deal with AT&T ever again.

Plus at least TF only makes you wait 60 days. Other carriers might require paying for active service for like 6-12 months before they'll unlock.
