Not a terrible deal but if you scan local Craigslist and FB Marketplace you can find nice used USA made toolbox's for pretty close to this price.

For example there is a red Kennedy stack locally for $350. Looks to be in great shape and those general purpose Kennedy (non machinist) boxes are pretty great.

But if you need a simple box, these aren't bad.

I disagree, a smoked out, beat up, drawers barely working, toolbox isn't worth the money unless it's $50-100. bought one on a whim 5 years ago. Never again.

This toolbox set was $199 at my local homedepot. They cleared out the old model, new ones $4xx.

I don't feel this deal. I got the top half alone on sale at HD for $70 not too kong ago in black. Waiting for the bottom to come in sale. Bottom retails for $169 I think

You are incorrect- this is the comparable bottom to what's in the kit and retails $299

You may be confused thinking it's this lower quality one at $169 but it's not.

What is the depth of the top you got for $70? 12"?

This was $199 couple months ago. I bought the blue color at local HD. You're paying $100 more if you're buying this now.

I just picked up a 42" for $400.
It seems THD is getting ready to replace these with the heavy duty ones

True, I saw the blue one still available in my store yesterday for $199. Unless this model is a better quality-built item, I'm not sure it's a deal either.

This is the same as blue because it's 10 drawers not 11 drawers. Just different color. I wanted the red but it was not available at the time I purchased. But not going to pay $100 more for a color choices.
Also this is a standard duty, if you use it a lot for professional environment you want heavy duty. Not saying these are not good, but it won't stand up to abuse in long term usage.

I used to get THD credit cardholder coupons in the mail, but have not for a long time. They used to be $15 , $25 or $30 off and 10% off , which was more common in my experience. It would be the cherry on top!

Although I believe this was $199 a few months ago, I believe that was a YMMV situation and this is available nationwide so it's a great deal and honestly probably better than any Black Friday deal that will get posted.

How would this compare to the Harbor Freight /. US General 27" cabinet? Seems a lot cheaper even with the best HF deals so thinking the Husky is likely not as good?
