It depends on which tool you chose. The DCF860B Impact Driver is the best most powerful driver that DeWalt (or any manufacturer) has to offer. This is the best value I've seen it at, if valuing the battery kit at $10 per AH (which is considered a good deal), then the impact driver (or most of tools included) would be valued at $79. So, if you don't need the batteries, you could probably fetch around $120 on marketplace and keep the tool, which would be GREAT value, IMO.

I'd be very wary of purchasing DeWalt batteries from eBay, unless from a DeWalt authorized seller. There's a lot of fake DeWalt batteries being sold on eBay, unfortunately.

It is a good price for this latest gen impact driver thats a beast. Best legit price I've seen on the dcf860 was 129 from fastners yesterday. So these 4 batteries for 70 is good from a value standpoint even if they are just "standard" batteries. You could try to sell the batteries individually if you don't need them.

edit- you should be able to hack it if you find it and buy it in store as well which would jus make the impact 100

considering you can get the router that's normally $219 for $199 and get 4 batteries, yeah, these are the best ways to buy tools.

I've been wanting the XR jigsaw, on average the tool alone is 130/219 for brand new. The batteries are just a bonus on this deal. Thanks for posting.

Definitely true, TBH the 4ah would probably sell for 50 if you were willing to wait a day or two, maybe even more. 10/ah is a good base line for kit sized batteries, 15/ah for premiums (5ah, small flexvolts, slim 3/4ah etc) and 20/ah or more for the really premium stuff (powerstack, larger flexvolts like the 12 and 15), as a slick dealer those are the prices I shoot for new from the manufacturer/kit deal/whatever, but most facebook marketplace folks think that's a great price re-buying from someone. Tempted to buy this and offload my 887 with one of the 2ah and then sell the other 3 outright. Probably end up with a "free" upgrade.

Did not even realize they released a new XR. Was about to say the 850 would like to have a word but did not realize we have an 860 in addition to the 887 now. I have been patiently waiting for the HD hack to get the 850 at around $80 but now will keep an eye out for this one. Sadly Lowe's always tries to upsell on the batteries.

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l...ls%26Stuff Yepppp. This a big upgrade.

Somewhat OT but I've observed these deals usually don't include drills as the additional free tool. Why is that?

A version of the free tool promotion goes around every now and then between Lowes, HD and Menards (I think)...just depends on what batteries you get and what free tools are available. This is probably one of the better ones as the others will sometimes be 2 5ah batteries, or 1 4ah and one 6ah and a free tool.

Since I want to do this with the included router, this is the best deal for me, I just don't have the money to be buying tools right now. Frown

Drills are usually the first tool people get and as part of a kit. You're better off finding one of those instead.

I bought two of these type deals with 3 batteries a couple years ago. Sold both sets of batteries for $150, got the brushless angle grinder and router for $50 each in the end. I might do that again and split them up for extra cash, or just bundle my old batteries and keep these newer ones.

People always talk about the HD hack, but I always make money selling off the stuff I don't want. Like the $100 Ryobi deals and sell the batteries for $65-75, so the tool is $25-35 instead of almost $50.

I recently jumped on the DeWALT 20V Max Bagless Stick Handheld Cordless Dirt Vacuum (Tool Only) for $99 but don't have any Dewalt batteries or chargers. I most likely only need 1 x 20V Battery for now because I'm primarily working with Metabo HPT tools. Are they are any deals I should look out for or generic batteries I should buy that would suit my use case? I was considering Facebook Marketplace or even eBay to grab something used, thoughts? Thanks!

Where do you sell the batteries to get the best price? I like the idea of worried about the time factor and hassle.
