Straightforward install, no issues there.
Looks great - very elegant. Also easy to clean.
Check that your sink is wide enough (front to back). This faucet is large for a small vanity/sink and does not pour straight down. In one of my bathrooms with a small vanity/sink - it can splash up on the user if they turn it on full blast because the sink is too narrow front-to-back.
460 reviews, with less than 10% 3 stars or under according to actual purchasers. And I'll note than the negative reviews were predominately people who clearly didn't have a clue, such as the poor reviewer complaining about a "blue drain" who couldn't figure out there is protective film covering over it which needs to be peeled off.
I bought a cheap $30 Glacier Bay pull down kitchen faucet (also a "Sadira" pull-down handle model) off one of these Slickdeals posts almost three years ago as a very "temporary" fix until we could find a nicer one, despite posts like yours claiming they're all junk in the thread, and we're still happily using it today. I haven't had a single problem with it and in fact I still like it more than the two previous higher end name brand faucets it replaced. It works well, still looks great and my Total Cost of Ownership is going to be well under $10/yr by the time I need to replace it which is far less than I'd get with a $200+ name brand equivalent. I'm a convert.
My father in law shares your opinions and spent hundreds on a new Moen for his vacation home which he asked me to install. I hate it, it's awful, the flow choice settings are terrible and it's just ergonomically awkward. Our GB is so much better and cost about 1/10th of what he paid for it.
Hop off that high horse of yours and let's have an honest conversation about why "buying for life" is marketing nonsense: every plumbing fixture is going to break, need maintenance, or you're just going to want to update it. I don't care if it's Moen, Kohler, or any other brand. You're not buying a fixture for life anymore and I certainly don't live in a house being shown in magazines where I need to spend money to impress other people not worth impressing. The cartridges/parts for those name brands cost more than the entire purchase cost of these GB faucets, which you helpfully admit that HD will just refund when they eventually need repair or wear out.
So $20 for this sounds like an incredible deal to me based on my experience with the brand and other options, but you do you.

Sometimes, the better brands are worth it because the installation is much easier. I put in a Moen kitchen faucet years ago, and the installation was so easy it was actually surprising.
The only brand I will actively recommend against across the board is American Standard. I installed a couple of their faucets in our old place, and some of the metal inside literally disintegrated into dust after a year or so. I talked to a couple plumbers, and both confirmed that AS makes some very shoddy products. I'll never trust that garbage again.
