Maybe because it's borosilicate instead of the soda glass Pyrex?

Pyrex isn't made out of borosilicate anymore. I think there was one place in France making them out of borosilicate but they are hard to find.

You see, this is a 16 piece set for $24. Those you posted are 10 piece sets that cost more than the 16 piece set.

The ones he linked are a 10 PACK (20 pieces), the ones in this deal is an 8 PACK (16 pieces). So the deal he linked is only marginally more for 2 more containers.

This isn't a fantastic deal, but it's OK.

Sam's has a set made by Glasslock. 24 pieces for $25. Glasslock makes great glass containers and I think the lid has a lifetime warranty. They technically tell you to remove the lid before microwaving, though. This deal is fine if you want assorted pieces at these sizes. The woot deal includes 2x containers at 52 oz, which is larger than any of the other container sets linked in this thread.
You have to determine what sizes you want, and then find a deal for the appropriate set. For me, this set was great.
