This is on par with a 27" 1440p monitor. No, I'm not being dumb or silly. Both a 27" 16:9 display and a 34" 21:9 at 1440p are around 109 PPI (pixels per inch). Because of this, both should appear to have similar visual qualities.

Here's a PPI chart I made for myself a while ago.
16:9

22" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) is 90.05 ppi
22" FullHD (1920x1080) is 100.13 ppi
24" FullHD (1920x1080) is 91.79 ppi
27" FullHD (1920x1080) is 81.59 ppi

I was able to get a price match to the 229 price as I bought this last week for 299.

They told me I could get it at 199 if I had taken a screenshot.....anyone have a screenshot of it at 199?

Price went up, but went ahead anyways and ordered for some client builds.
I know LG likely will have their 34" monitors on sale for around $200 during BF, as they normally do.
