The battery probably isn't worth the $50 either considering it's only a 2Ah
Not to mention the bottle connection, which means I don't have to have a hose to use it, which is great for camping with my bike.
Just like any other tool, when you use it for things it's not meant for, it doesn't work super well. You wouldn't say a drill is terrible for pounding nails (I'd hope).

That being said the device is definitely more powerful than a garden hose. Needed to clean a back patio at my condo. Tried a garden hose on the most aggressive nozzle setting, did nothing (condo has 60psi on outside spigot) . Tried bleach with a hard bristle scrub brush, did nothing. The 18v washer cleaned the concrete paver patio very well. Took a long time, got about 15mins with a 4ah battery, so it took 3 rounds .

This is a very niche device. If you can run an electrical cord and have a place to store something bigger I'd recommend plug in pressure device. But anyone who says a garden hose has more or equal pressure is wrong.
Lastly when you finish using this , disconnect the water supply, and hold the trigger until not a drop of water comes out. Then shake the washer and pull the trigger again, more water will drip out. Try to get every last drop of water out.

Where it really excels is I use it at the lake to clean the boat prior to taking it out of the water. You just drop the hose in the lake and it draws from it. I also agree, it is worth it for the battery alone.
I am giving the 18v to my aunt.
Now Ryobi had intro me to the 40v system. Oh no.

Edit: It looks like most of the bad reviews are for weak power, a few on DOA batteries. I watched some Youtube reviews to see what it actually does and it looks to be good enough for my purposes. The portability is what this tool is really strong at.

Holding this by hand with a 40 volt battery seems so uncomfortable and it has the same pressure and volume as the 18 volt 600 PSI version.
