Ignore most reviews you see out there claiming this case is mediocre. Yes, including the Tom's hardware review etc. Supposedly marketing told Corsair that following the nzxt h1 version 1 debacle, this style of case wasn't going to sell and Corsair originally wasn't even going to build this chassis. Then after release, it was largely misunderstood. No surprise then that as a niche design, it kinda bombed at retail. That just means you now get it for a steal, and it is pretty badass.
Yes, it is tall for an sff case, but keep in mind that cases with this form factor have a small footprint when set on your desktop. Built correctly, this case in particular can be loaded with top-tier CPUs and an rtx 4080 while also running cool and quiet. I even saw one build with an rtx 4090 and AMD 7800x3d putting out excellent performance. That is stupidly impressive for this size of case! The Corsair 2000d imo should be held in high regard when compared to Meshlicious/Meshroom, nzxt h1 v2 (not the original firebomb), Hyte Revolt, etc. Do not sleep on this beast!
Most of the YouTubers etc are screwing up their builds (recirculating air etc), or not using this case as intended by running hot components on air only. Then they wonder why they aren't getting better temps or lower noise. A couple relevant links from when it was first released to give an idea of proper builds:

An ideal build with hot components should use a 360mm radiator, and 7 fans as seen in the links above. If instead you use a much cooler cpu like a 7800x3d, that will save a ton of thermal strain on your cooling setup and you can get creative elsewhere. BUT, IF you use a 240mm radiator in an incorrect airflow pattern or some other goofy plan, you might be recirculating hot air etc. This is the problem I've noticed with most reviews; they tested as stock, or else screwed up the build.
Don't the right things and this case is F'ing awesome. Maybe not as flexible as the Meshroom etc, but the 2000d offers a LOT of performance potential and at this price is a no-brainer for anyone in the fence. Use the money saved for your fans or whatever.
